Project Exploration was selected from 92 applications from 82 communities across 35 states, representing more than 1,800 nonprofits, companies, school districts, and local government partners. Project Exploration (PE) is honored to have been selected as a finalist in the US2020 Challenge.

Project Exploration is pleased to welcome Kamentha Pillay who is now serving as Operations Director. Kamentha started this role in March and has had a whirlwind of an experience so far! In the last two months she has been on live TV, she has met CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, and helped PE to hit the reset button with internal systems and procedures.

Authentic STEM Experiences Help Change the Face of Science

Project Exploration (PE) works to find ways to engage our participants in real-world and authentic experiences. In our middle school programs, we provide trips to various STEM rich institutions in Chicago to build their understanding of STEM in everyday careers. With our high school programs that focus on a STEM specific discipline, identifying authentic experiences becomes more creative. However, with effective partnerships we find organizations willing and ready to help us fulfill this goal!
