Lisa Laws, left, at the Pyramid Awards!

Every year many professional scientists work with Project Exploration to share their passions for science, technology, math and engineering with our students. For engineer Lisa Laws, inspiring young people to explore the field is her mission. Lisa has built bridges, led design challenges and introduced the girls of Sisters4Science to the wonders of engineering. When Lisa comes into the classroom, she immediately makes an impact on the girls. As they work in groups and laugh through challenges, their view of engineering changes. This year Lisa was awarded the Pyramid Award of Excellence for her outreach with Project Exploration, Project Syncere and many other groups in Chicago. Congratulations Lisa for spreading the engineering love!
