Junior Paleontologists in Action
Congrats to Justice P. from Perspectives Charter School – IIT Math & Science Academy. Justice has recently been awarded the Farther Foundation scholarship. This scholarship will help fund Justice’s participation as the male team leader for the Junior Paleontologists Program for the summer of 2010. Justice was a participant in the JP program in the summer of 2010 as a team member. He was a very enthusiastic team mate and looked forward to working through to each challenge and openly embraced overcoming new obstacles with his fellow JPs. This year we have invited JusticeĀ to return to the JP program and serve as one of two team leaders. As a team leader he will help the new class of students face those same challenges he himself faced last year. Justice is definitely prepared for the challenge and looking forward to another two weeks in Chicago studying anatomy, geology, and paleontology; and returning to Hot Springs, South Dakota to excavate mammoth bones at the Mammoth Site.

Congratulations to Justice! I can’t wait to see him this summer as the new JP team leader!
This is so great! Justice is a great role model for the new JPs, and he really demonstrates how gaining leadership skills can open doors to lots of new opportunities.
