Earlier this month (December 6) I was lucky enough to attend a special screening for National Geographic’s latest documentary WHEN CROCS ATE DINOSAURS. When I received the invitation to this event I did not hesitate to reply. This monster of a film really shows the adventure Paul Sereno had on his expedition. Tyrannosaurus rex? You’re looking so small… and so young!

Earlier today Project Exploration cofounder, University of Chicago paleontologist Paul Sereno, announced the newest beastie to come out of his fossil lab in Science Express. INTRODUCING…. RAPTOREX! This ancestor of Tyrannosaurus rex has alot of familiar features but was a lot smaller and about 23 million years or so younger.

Our Dinosaur Giants made today one of my most favorite days of the year!

It’s that time of year when our summer programming is coming to a close and the final stats from our Dinosaur Giants program start coming across my desk.  This is hands down one of my most favorite days of the year at Project Exploration!  And it should be for our 103 Dinosaur Giants team members as well, for they have much to be proud of this year!
