In 2000, the moment of discovery of Gobero was captured in sound, text and images by Project Exploration’s online expedition, “Dinosaur Expedition 2000.” The project followed the 2000 expedition team as it crisscrossed Niger in search of dinosaurs.

Project Exploration provides a “window onto science in action.” Now, eight years after the original discovery, these documents help provide insight into the excitement of the moment of discovery and an understanding of how the scientific story unfolded over time.
