Fabrice Morceau was born on July 8, 1967 in Paris, France. He is a geologist and a geophysicist, and has been working for ten years with Compagnie Generale de Géophysique - a French geophysical exploration company. His main activities are: oil, gas, and water exploration, mining investigation, and sometimes archeological studies.

He has traveled to many countries in Western Europe and Africa: Chad, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, Nigeria, and Iran. He has also spent few months in Venezuela.

He has taken part in field expeditions to Morocco 1999 and 2000, and has prospected in Madagascar and United States in 1996, 1997 and 1998. The Inner Mongolia expedition will be a first wonderful experience in Asia.
