Dr. Sereno & Co.: One must wonder what Roy Chapman Andrews would think about a Gobi expedition on an instant, world-wide venue like the Internet. I am sure that he would heartily agree with my sentiments--very, VERY cool!!! What a great way for kids (young and old alike!) to follow your adventures and discoveries! To Paul: I'm working on a revised version of my avian flight origins paper. Thank you for your suggestions. I will introduce myself at SVP this fall. See you in October...and wish I were there with you!!! Good hunting, and Godspeed! Ron Easley

Hi Team, What a wonderful way to follow your expedition - it's almost like being there. The highlight of my day is to log- in on your updates. Gabriel is so professional in her presentations she should write a book. As for the rest of the team, if you don't already know, you're the greatest. Best wishes at camp two, hope your discoveries are many!! I also hope my son Dave is surviving comfortably in his taped boots. Looking forward to seeing you. Love Mom

Thanks for describing how the "death pose" comes about. We'll look forward to a few more updates from the field, and then the "official word" on the Niger finds this fall. Good prospecting!

Hello Proffessor Sereno and team. I am yet another person from Ms. Lesher's fifth grade class. I can't wait to go to the lab and see the bones brought back from Niger. My mom says someday she'll get me a small pick and brush so I can look for bones in Arizona where my grandparents have a house. So far all I've found around here is a bone from ox tail soup! Good luck!

There is a little boy here in clarkston, MI (my 5 year old son, Jordan) who watches the national geographic dinosaurs video whenever he can. I estimate he has watched it 30 times now. I've watched it with him a few times. You could ask him just about anything about that video and he could answer you. Anything from where the expedition was to why Paul ran that marathon. Just wanted to say thanks. I think I have a future paleontologists on my hands. He'll be very happy when I tell him that I found this web site. Our family is taking a trip to the field museum with the kids this summer. I wondered if Jobaria could be found in chicago this summer? or any other of your discoveries? The McMichael family wish you all a safe and successful expedition.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He can jump really high! Once, my mom and I were walking him, and there were some really high railings, that I could not jump, I would just step over. And, my mom said that we could only walk, because we had been running, and he had gotten a little to exited, and he got loose, and, finally he came to me. So we walked right up the jumps, and with no running start did an incredible leap into the air with an incredible arc over the railing. Then there was a really wide bush and he could do that one too. He slept on my bed most of time until my mom said that we were fooling around too much and he had to get off. Good luck in your expedition! Love, Ellen

Paul, I am 5 years old and have seen the National Geographic Movie, "I LOVE DINOSAURS". I watch it almost every night and have learned alot from your expedition in Niger. I have started digging in my backyard in hopes to find dinosaur bones. I have been interested in Dinosaurs since I was 1 1/2 years old. I have my mom and dad read me books on dinosaurs and I have a huge collection of dino toys. My mom found your web site and I am so glad to be writing to you (aka: mom is writing to you for me). I hope one day that I will meet you and be able to dig dinosaur bones with you and your team. Good Luck! Love, Kathleen

Gabe: we've processed the film and we got some great snap shots from the visit to the dino lab. We'll send a few to you and the fine crew at Project Exploration. From the looks of things so far it seems the challenges of the Gobi are opposite from the Sahara - this time it looks like the tough part might be staying warm and not putting on too many pounds. Hopefully the prospecting will be just as fruitful. Good luck to you and the whole team! p.s. - the web site & expedition updates are excellent.

Hey Andy, I'm Tante Ginny's oldest daughter. Your Mom sent me info on this trip. Wicked cool. Please don't bring home any live dinosaurs. Beware the fermented yak milk. It causes extreme intoxication. Happy exploring! Karla
