Moussa Bourahima was born on April 1, 1966 in Niamey, the capital of Niger. He grew up in Niamey and as a child he farmed chickens and pigeons and hoped to become a veterinarian.

This will be his first expedition with Dr. Sereno but the two have worked in collaboration at the University of Chicago's Dinosaur Lab for many years. Moussa received his Ph.D. in paleontology and stratigraphy at the French CNRS Earth Sciences Laboratory in Dijon.

He studied for 8 years in Niger and then continued on in France. Moussa is looking forward to "knowing more about a dinosaur's life in the Sahara."
