Brian
Nagurski
Brian was born in St. Paul
Minnesota on December 29, 1971, but
grew up in Roselle, Illinois. As a
kid, he played a ton of sports, including
baseball, football, and hockey. He
also took piano lessons, though reluctantly.
“I could never sit still long
enough on the piano bench to become
very good.”
His love of dinosaurs came from his
penchant for digging in the wooded
area by his home. “I would dig
into anything, looking for everything
from bones to rocks to buried treasure…although
I mostly found rocks.”
He started volunteering in Paul’s
dino lab in the spring of 2003 and
joined him on the Wyoming 2003 expedition.
He will be going to Niger as the expedition’s
medical personnel, as he is studying
for his EMT certification and eventually
will pursue EMT paramedic training.
He’s looking forward to the
adventure of the Sahara and the potential
for some great discoveries buried
there.
